Casa Amari
Typology: private house
Where: Florence, Italy
Project: studio AFSa
Photography: Sofia Lalli
Located in a corner building in the Campo di Marte district, Casa Amari engages in a dialogue with its surroundings through large openings that frame the treetops of the nearby sports park and the slopes of Monte Ceceri. Designed for its new owner, the project reinterprets the original internal layout—unchanged since the building was constructed—by lightening the spatial composition and introducing a custom-built wall that conceals the building services and utility spaces, creating a sense of continuity and formal clarity. A restrained palette, centred on shades of blue, black and the oak flooring, unifies the interiors, while understated furnishings discreetly display personal objects, travel memories and cultural references.
