Private residence 9

Tipology: private residence
Where: Roma, Italy
Project by: Paul Fineberg architect
Photography: Paul Fineberg architect

Just steps away from the vibrant heart of Testaccio, this 53 sqm vaulted apartment has been transformed into a bright and contemporary living space that respects the history of Rome while embracing modern living. At the centre of the project are our Anima hexagonal cement tiles in A10 White Rope, selected to reinterpret the traditional flooring found in many 19th-century Roman homes. Their geometric pattern echoes the architectural language of the past, while the natural cement finish enhances the warm Roman light that fills the interior. Travertine — the stone of Rome itself — is used throughout the project for bespoke architectural elements and furniture, creating a harmonious dialogue between materiality, craftsmanship and place. A thoughtful balance of history, light and texture, designed as a space to live, read and gather.
